Stainless steel valves are those valves whose body material is stainless steel, which are widely used in many industries due to their good resistance to rust and corrosion.

Taloar has developed a series of stainless steel valves to cater for the individual needs of users in many industries and to continuously improve the process and strive for excellence.

Taloar stainless steel valves are also known as sanitary series valves, designed for use with ultra-pure media in a range of industries, including bio-pharmaceutical, food and beverage, fine chemical, semiconductor, data centre and microelectronics. The product manufacturing process is completed under a strict quality management system in accordance with ISO 9001 international standards to ensure that the surface of 304 or 316L stainless steel metal materials maintain a high degree of finish. The materials have obtained U.S. FDA (U.S. Food and Drug Administration) related testing. The valve body and sealing materials can be disinfected or sterilized simultaneously to maintain resistance and air-tightness.

This article will explore the different types of stainless steel valves. Understanding the structural differences between these valves will help you select the right valve for your particular application scenario and ensure effective flow control.

1.  Stainless Steel Ball Valves

Full bore design, high flow, no flow resistance

Three-piece valve body structure, zero leakage, easy to disassemble and maintain

Half-wrap, full-wrap sealing ball design, to avoid impurity retention

ISO5211 drive platform

Handle lock hole design

90° switch, low torque

2.  Stainless Steel Butterfly Valves

High flow design, low flow resistance

Two-piece, three-piece valve body structure, zero leakage, easy to disassemble and maintain

EPDM, PTFE valve seat can be replaced

One-piece valve plate connecting shaft design

Adjustable opening

90° switching, low torque

3.  Stainless Steel Diaphragm Valves

Seal material meets FDA 177.1210/2600 standards.

Single or double diaphragm seals EPDM, EPDM+PTFE

T-shaped body, tank bottom body or multi-channel body

Pneumatic control options are normally closed, normally open, or double acting.

Solenoid valves, position feedback or position regulators can be added.

Suitable for inert, corrosive liquids and gases

4.  Stainless Steel Needle Valves

Y-shaped body design, excellent regulating characteristics

High flow rate and low resistance to flow

Pneumatic actuators are available in plastic or stainless steel.

Pneumatic controls are available in normally closed, normally open or double acting.

Pneumatic actuators are available as normally closed, normally open or double acting pneumatic controls.

Position feedback or position regulator can be fitted.

5.  Stainless Steel Y Strainers

Y-shaped valve body design, easy to discharge impurities

Double screen protection

Customized screen size according to customer’s requirement

Screw-in valve cover, easy to disassemble.

6.  Stainless Steel Check Valves

Centre-guided design, spring return

Silent speed closed type

Central sealing is of the live-action type, easy to disassemble and maintain.

The main performance characteristics of stainless steel valve:

Corrosion resistance: Stainless steel valves offer excellent corrosion resistance due to their material properties, enabling them to withstand the erosion of a wide range of corrosive media.

High strength: Stainless steel valves are highly robust and resistant to pressure and temperature fluctuations.

Effective sealing: Stainless steel valves typically utilize rubber or plastic sealing materials to guarantee optimal sealing performance when closed.

Easy to operate: Stainless steel valves can be used in a variety of transmission methods, such as manual, electric, etc., offering easy and flexible operation.

Stainless steel valves are a popular choice due to their excellent performance and wide range of applications. When selecting, installing and maintaining stainless steel valves, it is essential to consider their characteristics and requirements to ensure the normal operation and service life of the valve.
